Shrewsbury Town in the Community are delighted to announce that their annual Community Day will take place on 7th March 2020 as Shrewsbury Town welcome Oxford United to Montgomery Waters Meadow.

Community Day allows Shrewsbury Town in the Community to showcase their projects to supporters of Shrewsbury Town and spread awareness of the work carried out across Shropshire. These varied projects all centre around the core mission of using the power of sport to inspire and engage with the local community. The charity covers five main programme areas; Football Development, Education & Learning, Health & Wellbeing, School Sport, and Inclusive Sport

On the day there will be various sessions taking place around Montgomery Waters Meadow, including for Mini Kickerz and Girls Development Centres, and taster sessions for PL Kicks and ShrewsAbility. These sessions must be registered for in advance and are completely free to attend – each place will include 2 free tickets (including the participant). Full times and details for these sessions can be found within the sign-up forms below.

At half-time of the game there will be showcasing the work Shrewsbury Town in the Community do in schools with a dance which has been taught to pupils from Crowmoor Primary School and their Soccer Schools Skills Final will be taking place on the pitch as the winners from the February Soccer Schools will compete to be crowned our Skills Champion.

Supporters will be able to donate £2 on the day by texting ‘STITC2’ to ‘70085’.
