The Shrewsbury Town in the Community Volunteer Academy is aimed at 14–24 year olds who are interested in pursuing a career in sport, by offering volunteer opportunities within an active sporting charity.
The Volunteer Academy consists of three milestones: 25 hours, 50 hours and 100 hours. At each milestone, the volunteer will have the opportunity to gain a certificate or attend in-house CPD (Continued Professional Development) workshops which will be linked to the volunteering being undertaken. Each volunteer will be mentored by a Shrewsbury Town in the Community staff member and they will provide the support and training to the volunteer.
