Yesterday Shrewsbury Town in the Community hosted our second annual Inclusion Cup at the Mercedes-Benz Football Hub, giving those who may not usually be picked a chance to represent their school in a local tournament.

Local schools were invited to bring their teams of pupils who were not usually picked for the main school team to offer the opportunity to those who wouldn’t usually take part. We welcomed pupils from Christchurch, St. Andrews, Severndale, Clive, Coleham, Apley Woods, and Condover. The teams played a round robin tournament to ensure everyone got to take part in lots of football throughout the morning.

After all the games had been played we held a final for the two top placed teams to find an overall winner.

The final was eventually won by Coleham who beat Clive in an entertaining encounter!

All teams should be very proud of taking part and representing their schools so well!
