We want to say a huge thank you to Lakelands Academy for helping us to raise over £200 through their Blue and Amber Day held at the school last Friday!

Shrewsbury Town in the Community have been working with Lakelands Academy since September, when they joined up to our Partner School scheme, the first in North Shropshire. Since then one of our Partner School Officers has been an ever-present face within the school helping to deliver a range of sports clubs and classes to help the school with Physical Education and also develop a further link with Shrewsbury Town Football Club.

This partnership meant that last Friday the school held their first Blue and Amber Day – where pupils were encouraged to wear non-uniform (ideally blue or amber) after bringing in a charitable donation to help raise money for Community Day. The funds will go towards helping all areas of Shrewsbury Town in the Community.

We would like to say thank you to all staff and pupils at Lakelands Academy for their support on the Blue and Amber Day and hope to see you all down at Montgomery Waters Meadow for a game sometime soon!
