Shrewsbury Town in the Community are delighted to announce we are expanding our Higher Education provision with University of South Wales to include a Sports Coaching and Development Foundation Degree For 2020/2021!

The new course will allow students to gain a foundation degree via a blended learning programme, being based here at the Reech Community Hub in Shrewsbury.

Students will be able to gain a wide range of experience within a sport coaching environment, working in our partner schools, being mentored by our specialised staff, and have the opportunity to lead their own sports events and activities. In the process of completing the course, students are expected to have gained around 200 hours of invaluable coaching experience to help prepare you for your later career.

Community Manager, Alex Jones is excited about the brand-new course and what it can offer to students. “We are pleased to be able to offer new options to our prospective students and expand our higher education provision to cover all areas of sport and not limit ourselves to football alone. The course is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking for a career in sports coaching or teaching. We can’t wait to meet our new students in September!”
