We are delighted to welcome some new (and some familiar) faces to our team as we continue to step up our work across Shropshire!

Over the past few weeks as our activities and sessions have resumed we have expanded our team as we prepare to launch some exciting new projects to help work towards our vision for Shropshire. Meet the new members of the team below!

Ollie Eden

Ollie joined Shrewsbury Town in the Community on 1st September as a Community Coach & Coordinator of our Shadow Squad project. Ollie will combine his role at Shrewsbury Town in the Community with a part time role at the Shrewsbury Town Academy. Ollie has a wealth of experience in both education & football and holds a Masters in Advanced Performance Coaching from the University of South Wales and has previously spent time coaching in Spain & China.

Tom Peevor

Tom re-joined Shrewsbury Town in the Community on 1st October as a Partner Schools Officer. Tom is well known to Shrewsbury Town in the Community having spent 18 months as our Community Sports Development Manager from December 15 – August 17 before moving to the Football Association as a Regional PE & Coaching in Education Coordinator until September 2020. Tom holds a degree in Sports Business Management from Sheffield Hallam University as well as a Primary PCGE and a UEFA B Licence Coaching Qualification. Tom will combine his Partner Schools Officer role with his voluntary role as Head Coach of the Shrewsbury Town Women’s Team.

Helen Evans

Helen joined Shrewsbury Town in the Community on 1st October as a NCS Coordinator. Helen has a wealth of NCS related experience having worked for various organisations since July 2015 across the country and will bring an energetic approach to our NCS Team. Helen is based locally in Telford and is a keen outdoors enthusiast who has previously spent time as an Outdoor Activity Instructor and is a keen traveller.

Jordan Davies

Jordan has joined our NCS Team on a Part Time basis from 1st October as a NCS Delivery Officer. Jordan is another familiar face around our community having been employed as a Casual Community Coach since February 2017 and through his volunteering work across a variety of  our programmes and projects including Extra-Time and Head’s Up. Jordan has previously worked on multiple NCS Programmes as a Team Leader & Team Assistant as well as being an NCS Graduate from our Autumn programme in Autumn 2013. Jordan holds an Honours Degree in Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy from Manchester Metropolitan University and is looking forward to gaining further experience across all things NCS.
