Yesterday those taking part in our Soccer Schools at the Community Football Hub in Shrewsbury were treated to special appearance by the Shrewsbury Town first-team squad.

For the last hour of yesterday’s Soccer Schools, participants were able to play alongside their heroes as the players visited the Community Football Hub after training had finished.

Our participants were given the opportunity to not only chat with their heroes and get some autographs, but also take part in a variety of activities with the first-team players. Shrews stars such as Dave Edwards and Joe Murphy gave the children some tips on their passing and chipping techniques, answering questions and even getting involved in some games!

Elsewhere; Omar Beckles, Luke McCormick, Romain Vincelot and Ryan Giles took part in a small sided game with the participants on another pitch while others were able to test our our brand new Matchday Skills Challenge which can be found at the Community Football Hub every Saturday matchday.

We hope everyone attending our Soccer Schools enjoyed the surprise and we hope to see you again soon!

Our October half-term Soccer Schools in Shrewsbury and Ludlow are available to book now.
