Howard Thorne – Chair

Howard is the chair of our Trustees and is the Chairman of local housebuilder Shropshire Homes who also sponsor Shrewsbury Town FC.

Ryan Jervis, OBE

Ryan Jervis, OBE is the Shrewsbury Town FC Stadium Announcer.

Ryan Jervis was a teacher for 40 years in schools throughout Shropshire. He became the head teacher of Lakelands School in Ellesmere in 1995 and was prised out of retirement to become head of Adcote School in Shrewsbury, an independent girls school where he remained for two years. In 2008 he was appointed OBE in the Queens New Year’s Honours for services to education.

Mark Bramall

Mark Bramall is the Director of Dyke Yaxley.

Mark trained as an accountant with a local firm following his departure from Shrewsbury Sixth Form. He joined Dyke Yaxley in 2003 when they took over the Moore Stephens office. He finished his ACCA qualification at Dyke Yaxley in 2004 and in 2010 became a director of the company. He is responsible for a portfolio of clients covering a wide range of business sectors, with his focus specialising in business advisory services helping clients develop their businesses.

Dave Edwards

Dave Edwards was born in Shrewsbury in 1986 and is a professional footballer, currently playing for his boyhood club – Shrewsbury Town. Nick Jones

Nick Jones is a Director at Throgmorton Associates Wealth Management.

Whist at University in the 90’s Nick coached football and general sports in Shropshire and the US. In 1996 he became a Financial Adviser and in 2004 he joined St. James’s Place Wealth Management. He developed his Practice significantly over the last 16 years and merged with Throgmorton Associates (another St. James’s Place Senior Partner Practice) in 2021 . Nick is passionate about the work of the charity and has taken part in many of our fundraising events. Nick’s firm have also sponsored the Annual Golf Day for a number of years.
