Do you know a young person looking to boost their CV and get a behind the scenes look at what it takes to run our community programmes all across Shropshire?

We have adapted our Volunteer Academy offer, with young people who sign up before 1st June, being able to take part in our new online induction training, preparing them with basic information on coaching, safeguarding, and first aid. Once this is complete they will be able to volunteer within many different areas of the organisation including:

By signing up, participants in our Volunteer Academy will be able to gain valuable experience in a variety of different roles across STITC, making a difference in their local community and take advantage of training offers from external providers learning new skills.

Our Volunteer Academy has 3 tiers, Bronze, Silver and Gold, with each tier costing just £25.

One of our current volunteers, Ryan Joy has given his thoughts on the programme – “It has given me a pathway to follow. Before I joined the Volunteer Academy I didn’t really know what I wanted to do and now I’ve had experience working with Shrewsbury Town in the Community it has shown me that I want to go into coaching and continue with the work I am doing currently.” ‘It has shown me what other roles exist within football that I didn’t know existed before and has given me some experience with them to help me decide what I want to do.”

The Volunteer Academy is open to young people between 14-18. To sign up, complete this form
